Camp of Dreams is an emerging Chicago program devoted to bringing uplifting, engaging, free educational programs to young people who would otherwise go without. We do this through a year-round project consisting of two complementary components: a summer camp and a school-year program. Our project as a whole brings a wide range of activities to our participants: Academics, Visual and Performing Arts, Mind and Body, Health and Wellness, and Civic Engagement. The summer overnight camp runs for three weeks in July, and the school-year program offers Community Days two Saturdays a month and weekly individual tutoring. And in all of our activities, our young people learn about accountability, about following through with themselves, their fellow participants, and their broader community.
